Ultimate reassurance that your environment, surfaces and equipment are

tested to prove excellent level of cleanliness

To achieve reassuring confidence that your cleaning and sanitisation is as good as it gets, Bandon

now offers ATP Testing. For over a decade, the food and beverage manufacturing industries have

used ATP testing to monitor and measure the levels of microscopic bacteria present on a surface.

In the Health and Social Care sector, the 2008 Code of Practice requirement for health and safety on

the prevention and control of infectious diseases requires proven cleanliness of the environment

and equipment. APT testing is considered therefore to be an essential part of infection prevention

and control and plays a vital role in the prevention and spread of infection.

How does it work?

The technology uses liquid stable chemistry and a luminometer with robust internal sensors. In plain English, first we take a collection of samples from within your environment: door handles, computer mice, phones, chair arms, light switches, desk surfaces, pedestal drawers, breakout surfaces- in fact we can swab just about anywhere. We use a thorough swabbing technique to ensure even coverage of the swab, secondly we activate the reactor liquid then thirdly we measure the ATP present. Using bioluminescence technology, our ATP metres can measure extremely low levels of ATP collected from within your environment giving an excellent indication of surface cleanliness.

So, what is ATP testing?

ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) testing basically measures the levels of ATP present on a surface. Within 15 seconds, the results are delivered in a measurement in RLU’s (reflective light units). The greater the ATP, the greater the RLU, and therefore the dirtier the surface. Our tried and tested Hygiena testing device contains a natural enzyme found in fireflies called Luciferase and produces a bioluminescence (a reaction which produces a bright light) when it comes into contact with ATP.

What exactly is ATP?

In scientific terms, ATP is present in all organic material and is the universal unit of energy used in all living cells. ATP fuels metabolic processes such as cellular reproduction, muscle contraction, photosynthesis, respiration in fungi and fermentation. So, if a surface is dirty but the dirt or bacteria is not visible, the ATP will be present, even when we can’t see it.

Where can ATP              testing be done?

We carry out the testing on site, with immediate results. Many businesses are already using ATP testing to encourage staff back to working on premises and to reassure customers that their health and safety is of ongoing paramount importance. Nurseries, playgroups, gyms, offices, factories, hospitals, care homes, airports, train stations, taxi companies, pubs, cafes, restaurants, hair salons, nail bars, physio and massage rooms, Pilates and Yoga studios, hotels, serviced accommodation, retail outlets, estate agents and landlords are all seeing the benefits of regular ATP testing. For continued reassurance that your environment is cleaner than the eye can see, when clean just isn’t clean enough, trust Bandon to take the lead: we offer experienced, established, excellence in all of our services.

COVID-19 ANTIVIRAL SANITISATION

When clean just isn't clean enough trust Bandon
Professional cleaners know that the correct use of PPE is vital to protect their own health and safety, especially if there has been a positive Coronavirus case in the premises they are operating in. Our operatives will wear gloves, masks and protective suits and in addition to the standard current protocol of social distancing, hand hygiene and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces, our cleaning staff will ensure that they are following guidelines for frequency of disinfecting, fogging and wiping down.
Fogging, or Bio- Fogging as it is sometimes called is the “Catch all” application method that ensures all surfaces and airborne areas of a premises are treated. The chemical used for fogging is broken down into small particles and dispersed via a fogging treatment. These particles reach all areas that they are directed at and can sanitise surfaces that normal cleaning cannot. Every small crevice or unseen area can be treated with this method. Therefore, Fogging is the most effective method for broad spectrum treatment to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Covid-19 cleaning needs the use of specific chemicals which our cleaning team are familiar with and are experts in using.

Antiviral sanitisation and disinfection – effective and safe protection for your staff and customers.

Do you own or run a retail outlet, office, property or hospitality venue, care home or school?
Over the past year, owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, businesses have been hit hard by regulations affecting the opening of premises, offices and outlets in all sectors.
If you are able to reopen, how can you reassure both employees and customers that they are entering into a safe environment, clear and clean of viral infections?
Whatever your business, you will need to impart confidence to your staff and clients that they are returning to or entering a safe space and that their health and safety is being entrusted to a premier, experienced commercial cleaning company. Commercial cleaning employees are all equipped not only with the required equipment and PPE but with the correct and up to date knowledge and information set out by the government and their advising bodies. Your staff and customers are depending on you to use a reputable, trustworthy company, one like Bandon Cleaning Company Limited who have been operating in the commercial cleaning industry for over 37 years.

So what is the difference between Cleaning, Sanitising and Disinfecting? Cleaning is the general removal of visible and some non- visible contaminants including dust, dirt and debris on a surface. Sanitising reduces the number of bacteria and viruses on a surface but it cannot kill or eliminate the pathogens. Disinfecting – surfaces need to be cleaned prior to disinfecting otherwise the disinfectant will not be able to reach the surface it is supposed to be treating. Most disinfectants require a period of time to be left in-situe to reach their maximum efficiency. We would recommend that you disinfect frequently –touched surfaces every four hours. This includes door handles, water taps, light switches, lift buttons, mice and keyboards, pedestal handles, phones, kitchen and bathroom surfaces, cupboard handles etc and any surface which is regularly touched by members of your team or members of the public. If you have been considering employing the help of a professional regular cleaning company to maintain the standards of health and safety of your work place, please do get in touch. A deep, anti-viral clean executed by a trusted, experienced and established commercial cleaning company will help to remove some of the anxieties people experience when returning to a place of work even if there have been no notifications of anyone having been in the building with a positive Coronavirus status. When clean just isn’t clean enough, contact Bandon and let us take the lead.
